Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency while speaking on the occasion of distribution and fitment camp of Artificial limbs, Polio Callipers and tri cycles at JRC Home for handicapped Udheywalla Jammu asked the State Government to adopt social model of disability which should be totally inclusive and disable friendly . The camp was organized by State Trading Corporation of India in calliberation with Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti. Sharma said that there should be full and effective participation and inclusion of disabled persons in the society and there should be respect for difference, acceptance of differently abled persons as a part of human persity and humanity . Mr. Sharma called for inclusive education system, transport facilities, Banks etc for ensuring equality of opportunity and accessibility to disabled persons.
He appealed the Government and NGOs to come far ward and contribute in developing an inclusive atmosphere where every disabled person live with full dignity and honour.Sharma congratulated the organisers for distributing support to disabled persons, terming the support as right of differently abled people. Mr. Sharma asked the organisers to hold similar camps in border belts of Samba, Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch districts where lot of handicapped people are living and required such support. Mr. Sharma also met with the people and Children whom support was given and assured them full support in restoration their rights . On the occasion Hon’ble MP announces Rs.05 lacs for upgradation of Physiotherpy unit of JRC Home for handicapped Udheywalla . Prominent among present on the occasion includes Shri.Satish Sharma, Jt.
