Education Minister of Punjab  Sikander Singh Maluka calls on Union Minister of Human Resources  Kapil Sibal at New Delhi and demands the immediate release of Central Funds for the upliftment of education sector in the state of Punjab. In the meeting  Maluka said that Union Government has not released the funds for schemes like RAMSA, SSA and CSS to the Punjab Government. He said that Rs 53.73 crore for the Year of 2010-11 and Rs 256.53 crore for the year of 2011-12 under RMSA and Rs 175 crore  under SSA for the year of 2011-12 has not been released . Besides that Rs.72.29 crores under RCT Scheme and Rs.12.59 crores under the incentive to Girls for secondary education scheme has also not been released to Punjab government till now.  Maluka also demanded that the conditions regarding the upgradation of Schools under RMSA scheme must be amended.  Sibal assured full cooperation to Punjab Government on all these issues and said that all these demands would be fulfilled within 15 days.
