Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Wednesday said the auditing of accounts of the ongoing 35th National Games will be ready in 45 days' time.Chandy added that the Local Fund Audit Department would conduct the audit once the Games end Saturday."Each and every aspect would be looked into," Chandy said here after the weekly cabinet meeting. The organisers were dragged in a controversy when movie star Mohanlal's music band Lalisom served a poor performance during the opening ceremony of the event.Following a huge public outcry against Mohanlal, he returned a sum of Rs.1.63 crore given to him for the show.Chandy along with his cabinet colleague last week paid a visit to his house to mollify him."I don't think it was wrong for me to visit him at his house. See, it was we who pressurised him to conduct the programme and he agreed. He was hurt by the comments, so I felt I should go and see him," said Chandy.

Giving a thumbs up to the way the event has been organised, Chandy said there has not been a single complaint from the athletes or officials regarding facilities provided. The chief minister also said that the Games' venues will be open to the public after the competition ends."We will make special arrangements to ensure the new infrastructure that has been created for the Games will be used by the public. A plan will be chalked out once the event ends," added Chandy.Chandy said the closing ceremony, to be staged here, will be marked with a fitting programme, but will not exceed the total expenditure fixed for the Games."The audit report will show everything," added Chandy.
