Addressing a press conference in Jammu this morning, Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron NPP charged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for sedition and endangering the security of the state through his hate and anti-national utterances. The NPP Supremo who is also a member of NIC headed by the Prime Minister expressed grave concern on the dangerous moves of Omar Abdullah to destabilize the internal security by using the Pakistani terrorists who were illegally infiltrated by the government of Jammu and Kashmir via Nepal. The Chief Minister had admitted on the floors of the Assembly this year that 241 terrorists came to J&K via Nepal.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that the Panthers Party has already filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against J&K government on this issue. He expressed shock that the Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir is discussing the conduct of the Indian Army in Srinagar today whereas the Chief Minister has no time to discuss the attack by Pakistani terrorists on 26/9 /2013 on Hiranagar police station and on Army camp in Samba. The Keran (Kupwara District) attack which is a Mini Kargil ongoing aggression by Pakistan is no subject for Omar government supported by the Congress whereas the conduct of the Indian Army and General V.K Singh are more important for Omar Government.
Prof. Bhim Singh regretted that the Prime Minister failed to lodge the needed protest on 26/9/13 PaK military commando attack on Hiranagar and Samba with PaK Prime Minister during his meeting in New York the way he protested on 26/11/2008 Mumbai attack. He said that ‘26’ is a favourite terrorists number as US attack took place on 26/9/2001, Mumbai attack on 26/11/2008 whereas Hiranagar and Samba attack took place on 26/9/2013. Prof. Bhim Singh expressed regrets for the failure of the Indian government, Indian intelligential, Indian Media, Parliamentarian and the civil society to condemn Hiranagar and Samba attack which was no less dangerous to the security of the state than Mumbai attack. He said by the entire civil society and the political party are silent on the seditious utterances of Mr. Omar Abdullah. Do the agree with him that J&K is not integral part of India. “Jammu and Kashmir exceeded to the Union of India on 27th October 1947 a day after the Maharaja signed the Instrument of Accession. Jammu and Kashmir merged with the Union of Indian on 20th August 1952, the day the J&K constituent Assembly terminated the monarchy in the state by a single line of his resolution. The temporary provisions of Article 370 giving special status to J&K became in fructuous and redundant. This issue is coming before the Supreme Court on 7th October in writ petition of the Panthers Party.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that Nehru had to put his great friend of Sheikh Abdullah in prison after dismissing him in 1953. The Sheikh had challenged the merger of the state. He urged Prime Minister to value the action of Jawahar Lal Nehru who maintain that national interest was greater than personal friendship. Omar Abdullah government is surviving only because of Congress and the Congress shall equally be responsible for endangering the security of the state.
