CM Blames Congress For The Problems Confronted By The Nation Today

Squarely blaming the Congress party for all the problems confronted by the country today, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that the social maladies like unemployment, drug addiction, illiteracy and others were a result of directionless and wrong policies of the successive Congress governments at the centre.Addressing the gatherings during the Sangat Darshan program of the Dhuri assembly segment here today, the Chief Minister said that Congress party was the root cause of all the troubles faced by the country in present scenario adding that due to the anti-people policies of the Congress India was facing major problems on the social and economic front. Badal bemoaned that Punjabis had made more than 80% sacrifices for emancipating the country from the yoke of British Imperialism but the successive Congress government at the centre never recognized them. 

The Chief Minister called for a collective effort to make India a ‘Congress free’ nation by wiping it out from every nook and corner of the country. He said that it was the high time that the Congress party should be taught a lesson for its misdeeds. Reminding the people about the step motherly treatment meted out with the state, Mr. Badal said that due to the anti-Punjab stance of the Congress the peasantry of state was reeling under a whopping debt. “The hard working and resilient farmers of the state who had made country self reliant in food production were facing a severe agrarian crisis due to wrong policies of the Congress” he added.Interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that state government has banned the screening of movie Messenger of God because its release could have led to serious law and order problem in the state. Reiterating the firm commitment of the state government to main peace and amity, he said that the state government was duty bound to install the hard peace of the state at every cost. On another query, the Chief Minister said that SAD-BJP alliance was everlasting and both the parties were contesting the Delhi assembly polls jointly. 

Badal also said that the Sangat Darshan program of Dhuri assembly segment must not be construed as a political move because he had planned it much before the resignation of Congress MLA from this segment. Earlier reiterating the firm commitment of the state government to ensure the all-round development of the state, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Sub Division cum Tehsil Complex of Dhuri. He also asked the Deputy Commissioner to make all out efforts for shifting all the government offices in this complex so that people could be facilitated by providing all the services at a single place. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister held Sangat Darshan in Benra, Manawal and  Dhura villages besides the wards of Dhuri city to give a fillip to their development.  The Chief Minister was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Babu Parkash Chand Garg, former Minister  Gobind Singh Longowal, his Special Principal Secretary Mr. KJS Cheema and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Arshdeep Singh Thind.
