Sukhbir Singh Badal Deputy Chief Minister today went to the residence of H.T. Correspondent Mr. Jasdeep Singh Malhotra to shares his grief with the family on his untimely demise.Accompanied by Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia Information and Public Relations Minister and Mr. Jangveer Singh Media Advisor to Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Badal met Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur wife of Jasdeep and handed over a cheque of Rs. 5 lacs on behalf of Punjab Government under Accident Insurance Scheme of Public Relations Department. Mr. Badal said that the news of untimely death of vivacious personality like Jasdeep came as a shock to him and he could not believe the news. The Deputy Chief Minister also met Harnoor(8), Jassica(6) son and daughter of Jasdeep besides his brother and other relatives present at the home.
Assuring to look into the other demands of family including near posting of wife of Jasdeep on a suitable job and other issues, Mr. Badal assured that Punjab Government would do its maximum within the ambit of rules to help the family in this difficult hour and said that he has deputed Mr. Jangveer Singh his Media Advisor to work out solution for other demands of the family. He also appreciated the Public Relations Department and United India Insurance Company for expeditious completion of all formalities regarding insurance claim and release of Rs. 5 lac cheque of claim within 24 hours. Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia also handed over a cheque of Rs. 2 lacs on behalf of Youth Akali Dal.ater in the day Media Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Harcharan Bains also visited the residence of Mr. Jasdeep Singh Malhotra to convey the condolences of Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal.
