Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah Friday wooed thousands of Dalit voters and appealed to them to vote for his party in the coming Delhi assembly polls."BJP always take an initiative for rights of poor people. I want your promise...ensure victory on all 12 reserved seats and put your effort to form the BJP government in Delhi," Shah said at the Dalit Sammelan at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in central Delhi. The stadium with a seating capacity of 3,000 people was almost full.

He also said the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several steps for the poor and backward people in the past seven months.Attacking Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, he said: "In the last Lok Sabha election, he created an atmosphere across Delhi that AAP would win all seven parliamentary seats but could not get a single seat.'They (AAP) ran away within 49 days. They can't serve you."Udit Raj, the BJP member of parliament from northwest Delhi, said that in the past ten years they have not got anything by choosing other parties. 'This time you have to vote only for BJP," said Raj.Another party leader said Delhi has at least 14 lakh Dalit voters. In the last Delhi elections, AAP won nine out of 12 reserved seats while BJP got only two.Elections for the 70-member Delhi assembly will be held Feb 7.
