Despite Floods And Elections: 11 Lakh Tourists Visited The Paradise Of The World

Despite devastating floods and two elections in the State this year, about 11 lakh tourists thronged Kashmir valley, though efforts are on to attract more visitors during the winters it  crossed the figure of 10 lakh tourists before the floods, and as the year is to end now,   around 11 lakh tourists visited in Kashmir valley.“It has been a tough year for the tourism in Kashmir as the elections and the flood his made tourism industry in Kashmir to kneel. We somehow managed to survive, with the starting winter in Kashmir tourists again started to visit Kashmir and the freezing Dal lake added starts to the view paradise because of which many of the tourists are visiting valley again so that they can be a part of the glimpse,” a Shikara wala Mohammad Aziz said. 

According to officials   Kashmir hosted more than 20,000 tourists every month since the floods in September. “After the floods caused widespread devastation, it revives the tourism by 50 per cent. The percentage of tourists is to receive around 40,000 tourists per month for this period of the year.The Tourism department hopeful of “fully reviving” tourism in the next three months as the department was taking many steps aimed at reviving the sector in the Valley.“For so many times we tried to make our mind but due to some of our personal reasons we were not able to visit the Kashmir, but after being here we regret that why wouldn’t we made is early as after being here we came to know that what paradise ,means in veracity,” Pratap sunkar Tourist from culcutta.For more than a month we heard about the floods in Kashmir but after being here one can easily see the hard work done by tourism department, even after being here one can’t even judge that there was a flood hit in Kashmir,” Another tourist Rajesh sunkar from culcutta.“We after being here would like to convey all that they must visit Kashmir to see the best creations created by the god,” A tourist Neha Kakar from Delhi.
