Indian and Pakistan men teams scored four consecutive wins while Indian and New Zealand women scored hat tricks during the matches held at Multipurpose Sports Stadium at Jalalabad in Fazilka district on Tuesday. In Men section, India, Pakistan and Iran, and in women section, India, Pakistan and New Zealand have reached the semi finals of Fifth Kabaddi World Cup 2014. 

Match 1: Men Section: Usa Defeat Spain 35-25:

In first match of the day, USA defeated Spain by 35-25. The USA team maintained the lead since the beginning and by half time, they were leading by 17-13. USA raiders Inderdeep and Jatinder scored 8 points each, while stopper Donte secured 3 points for his team. For the Spaniards, raiders Santiago and Samual scored 9 and 8 points respectively, while stopper Migual secured 1 point for his team.

 Match 2: Women Section: India Defeat Azerbaijan 47-16:

The Indian women team once again proved their mettle in the ground when they defeated Azerbaijan by a huge margin of 47-16. Indian raiders Sukhjinder and Sunita scored 6 points each and stoppers Anu Rani and Renu secured 6 and 4 points respectively. Similarly the Azerbaijan raiders Servine and Sakina scored 7 and 5 points respectively and stopper Gurbanova secured 2 points for her team.

Match 3: Men Section: India Defeat Australia 45-23:

The hosts once again outplayed their opponents Australia with a big margin of 45-23. Indian raiders Kamal scored 8 while Balram Singh Bhoora and Gulzari Moonak scored 7 points each and stoppers Yadwinder Singh Surakhpur and Kulvir Singh scored 3 points each. Australian raiders Manjot Singh scored 7, Paramvir 6 and Inderjit Singh and Tajinder Singh scored 5 points each. 

Match 4: Women Section: New Zealand Defeat Mexico 51-23:

The New Zealand team once again proved crowd favourites as they defeated Mexico by a big margin of 51-23. In the beginning, both the teams were marching ahead with almost same points but the Kiwi's emerged champions in the end. By half time, the Kiwi's were leading by 24-13. New Zealand raiders Motu and Calpielise scored 9 and 6 points respectively and stoppers Sariya secured 6 while Ruth secured 4 points for their team. Similarly Mexico raiders Diana, Eva and Karla scored 11, 4 and 3 points respectively and stoppers Acosta and Christa secured 2 points each. 

Match 5: Men Section: Canada Defeat Denmark 47-14:

The Canadian team defeated Denmark with a big margin of 47-14 in the fifth match of the day. The Canadians dominated the match from the beginning and the Danish team once again failed to score a victory in the Fifth Kabaddi World Cup 2014. Canadian raiders Vicky Ghotra scored 14 and Gurpreet scored 10 points for their team and stoppers Jasdeep and Daljinder secured 6 points each. Similarly Denmark raiders Casper and Cristian scored 4 and 3 points respectively and stoppers Thomas and Milan secured 1 point each for their team. 

Match 6: Men Section: Pakistan Defeat Sweden 50-21:

In the last match of the day, Pakistan defeated Sweden by a big margin of 50-21. With this win, the Pakistan team have entered the semi finals. For Pakistan, raiders Rehman and Rana scored 10 points each and stoppers Alisher and Sajjad secured 6 and 4 points respectively for their team. Similarly, for Sweden, raiders Harwinder scored 8 while Mandeep and Parm scored 6 points each, while stopper Ajaydeep secured 1 point for their team respectively.
