There has been misappropriate distribution of relief in South Kashmir’s Pulwama area with the flood victims alleging that blue eyed people  have been preferred over the deserving ones.A delegation of flood victims told KNS that in Kakapora Pulwama, the people whose houses have been completely collapsed have been overlooked contrary to this, the people having political affiliations have been given plethora of funds despite facing no damage at all.

They also said that fake names have been enlisted for compensation of the losses and nepotism and favoritism are dominating the scenes. They said that around Rs 75000 have been given to several persons of a single family while as the people who have lost everything in floods have not been a single penny. They added that they brought the issue in the notice of the higher authorities but to no avail. They have requested the state government to investigate thoroughly the losses caused in the area due to the floods so that proper relief is given to the deserving flood victims.
