Men And Women Indian Team For Fifth Edition Of World Kabaddi Cup 2014 Announced

The Indian men and women team for the Fifth edition of World Cup Kabaddi, Punjab 2014 has been announced today. This team has been selected after selection trials carried out at Guru Nanak Stadium, here today. The trials were held under the supervision of Mr Sikandar Singh Maluka, Rural Development and Panchayats Minister, Punjab, MLA Mr Pargat Singh and other senior officials of the sports department.

The Indian men contingent would comprise of Sandeep Ludder, Kamaljeet, Balram, Sandeep Surakhpuria, Gagan Gaggi, Gaganjeet Jogewal and Gulzari Moonak as raiders and Gurlal Ghanaur and Sukhjinder Kala as standby raiders. The stoppers are Ranjodh Singh, Yadwinder Yada, Sukhjit Bhandal, Mangat Mangi, Kulbeer Kala, Balveer Pala, Gurpreet Manki and standby stoppers are Arvinder and Khushdeep.The Indian women team comprises of Sukhwinder Kaur, Priyanka, Sukhjinder, Ram Batery, Karmi, Jyoti and Sunita as raiders and Meena and Monika as standby raiders. The Indian stoppers are Mandeep, Reetu, Anu, Reenu, Ritu, Jasvir, Sarbjeet Kaur as stoppers and the standby stoppers are Monisha Gill and Manpreet Kaur.
