In the second phase, the rally was conducted at Anantnag on November 15 for the districts of Shopian and Kulgam, on November 16 for the districts of Pulwama and Kupwara and finally on November 18 for Anantnag District,” he said.In the first level screening for physical fitness, 1657 candidates cleared the test out of the 8953 that appeared. In the second level, 540 candidates, who had cleared the medical test and were eligible, appeared for the written Combined Entrance Examination that was held simultaneously in over 30 centres across the Country today.

“This rally in Kashmir was conducted despite some concerns raised on grounds of security and other issues by various agencies. It was held at two different locations, Budgam in Central Kashmir and Anantnag in South Kashmir, to facilitate maximum participation by the youth. The rally comes as a major employment opportunity for the youth, particularly in the aftermath of the devastating floods that hit Kashmir. GOC Chinar Corps thanked the J&K Police, under the guidance of IGP, Kashmir, AG Mir, for the support extended in conducting the Rally,” he added.
