Working President, National Conference and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Friday castigated PDP for its deceitful politics and opportunist tactics to mislead people for grabbing power in the State. He said false propaganda against National Conference and false promises to people have become handiwork of PDP and its leadership which is amply evident by the vast difference between their words and deeds.Addressing various Election rallies in remote areas of Banihal and Ramban constituencies of Jammu pision organized by the National Conference Jammu Province in favour of its candidates Sajjad Shaheen and Dr. Chaman Lal, the Working President, National Conference said that people are well aware of the misgovernance, nepotism and corruption which the State witnessed during the tenure of PDP in the Government.

Omar Abdullah said while PDP made all its efforts to malign National Conference by circulating untrue, concocted and false propaganda against National Conference, PDP also attempted to even utilize human issues to get political mileage for power game. “So much so PDP without bothering for the suffering of lakhs of flood affected peoples in Kashmir and parts of Jammu left no stone unturned to ensure that Elections are held as early as possible in the State”, he said adding that this attitude of PDP unveils its mentality and thrust for power. He said people will teach them a befitting lesson for this opportunism and greed.Working President, National Conference also took BJP to the task for its pisive politics and said that mission 44+ of BJP is nothing but a hoax and its balloon will burst into pieces by witnessing the faith of people in National Conference and its policy programmes for equitable development of all the three regions of the State and safeguarding the interests of the people.

Omar Abdullah asked the people to be united and foil all attempts aimed at creating hatred and wedging them apart on various considerations. He said that certain forces are out to ignite tension on various counts and flare-up sentiments of people for vote bank politics and urged them to reject this kind of political trait vehemently. He said that National Conference is the only political party with a categoric political and economic agenda for Jammu and Kashmir. He asked the people to vote whole-heartedly for National Conference candidates ensuring their thumping victory in the Assembly Elections. He said voting in favour of National Conference is infact voting for the cause of the State and its people.Omar Abdullah said that National Conference is the voice of Jammu and Kashmir and stands firm on its agenda for peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir. 

He said National Conference will continue to endeavour for realizing the goal of New Jammu and Kashmir with economic development, political stability and youth welfare ruling the roost.The Chief Minister referred to the historic measure taken by his government during the last six years to empower people, ensure comprehensive development in the State and focusing on holistic welfare of downtrodden, backward and those living in far-flung and remote hilly areas. He said numerous schemes have been launched for the upliftment of backward areas and National Conference would continue to concentrate on faster development of backward pockets of the State alongwith other areas.Omar Abdullah mentioned the steps his government took to enhance economic activities in the far-flung areas by launching power, road construction and other projects. He said creation of new administrative units by his government is aimed at bringing the administration to the doorsteps of the people and help mitigate their difficulties on socio economic and development fronts.The National Conference Candidates, Sajjad Shaheen and Dr. Chaman Lal also spoke on the occasion.
