Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference seeks change, a change in real terms which will actually empower and uplift the common Kashmiri.In a statement PC chief Sajjad Lone said beyond the politics of dynasty and corruption which is the practiced order in Kashmir today it wants to represent the pulse of the common Kashmiri where ability triumphs over background, honesty over manipulation and the masses over the privileged few. “There is a great desire amongst the people to get rid of the corrupt people and their corrupt ways who in large numbers are taking shelter in different political parties known for encouraging such practices; however PC has no place for such entities.
Politics in Kashmir has been restricted to the sons, daughters and relatives of politicians and the elites born with golden spoon in their mouth who are unable to feel, represent and carry forward the needs and requirements of its people. People yearn for change and they deserve the change and opportunity to bring in new blood , new fervor and new passion,” he said.“It is only when such meritorious people are allowed the drivers seat will they be able to get rid of the old and tested faces who have inflicted nothing but misery for decades on the common Kashmiri without any redress. Lust of power and wealth has blinded them to the desolation of the common man and they are not able to see beyond their self-interests. I humbly appeal to the people to use their power on the day of voting against the tyranny and enslavement rendered by the twin families, failure to do so will be a loss of opportunity that would only perpetuate the commons man’s misery and bury them further in the abyss of political opportunism corruption and regression,” he added.
