Some Political Leaders Issuing False Statements To Misguide SAD-BJP Workers- Dhillon

Punjab Irrigation Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon today said that the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party combine is rock solid and that statements by some political leaders are merely their personal grudges towards some other leaders. He said that it is due to such personal grudges and frustration that they issue false statements merely for the purpose of misguiding the SAD-BJP workers.But the SAD-BJP workers are well aware of such mischievous tactics and will not fall prey to their ill willed tactics," Mr Dhillon said while speaking to media persons after inaugurating the Pedestrian Under Pass in Aggar Nagar, here today. Even the BJP leaders present in the function stressed that both Shiromani Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janta Party are together for the overall development of the state.

The Pedestrian Under Pass (PUP) has been constructed with a cost of Rs 3.5 crore and its foundation stone was laid by Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal in September 2010. It is 177 feet long and 45 feet wide and has 13 shops (10ft by 15ft in size).While speaking to media persons after inaugurating the PUP, Mr Dhillon said that the PUP in Aggar Nagar was a long pending demand of the area residents. He said that now that PUP is opened for public, the 13 shops located inside it would be auctioned.He said that the main agenda of SAD-BJP combine is development and that is why their political opponents are misguiding people by issuing false statements. He said that some of their political opponents claimed in the social media that the state government is shying away from sanctioning tax-free status for Punjabi film "Char Sahibzade"."Our government has already sanctioned tax free status for this film and people should remain vigilant from such unscrupulous elements who try to misguide people," he said.

Prof Rajinder Bhandari, vice chairman, Punjab State Planning Board, said that both SAD and BJP have a common goal, which is development of Punjab. "We don't have any differences," he claimed.Prominent among those present on the occasion included SAD District Presidents Mr Madan Lal Bagga and Mr Harbhajan Singh Dang, Mayor Mr Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, SGPC member Mr Kanwalinder Singh Thekedar, councillor Mr Tanvir Singh Dhaliwal and Mr Jaswinder Singh Bhola, Chairman Zila Parishad Mr Bhag Singh Maangarh, Mr Tarsem Singh Bhinder, OSD to Irrigation Minister Mr Sehajpreet Singh Mangat, MC Commissioner Mr Pardeep Aggarwal, besides several others.
