Chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Wednesday distributed relief cheques worth Rs five lakh and kits containing essential commodities among 50 flood affected families. Wednesday in a phase seven cash distribution to the flood victims, Syed Ali Geelani gave away cheque for rupees 10000 and a relief kit to each of the more 50 flood affected families of district Srinagar and Islamabad. Syed Ali Geelani    said that   though we were put to test by almighty Allah during recent floods but instead of all this we deeply feel for  flood affected  families and share their sorrows .Relief is a pinely job, said Syed Ali Geelani and it is   a worship for us .What we offer to our flood affected brothers is nothing but simply a gift added Syed Ali Geelani .

Syed Ali Geelani while referring to recent flood fury said that the calamities of different nature are a kind of test and trail from Almighty Allah and when in a society waywardness’ ,Alcoholism, usury  becomes the order of day, and .no one cares about reformation and rectification then each soul is put to test except those who oppose all this and give a tough fight to evil mongers and wrong doers .Syed Ali Geelani stressed that we at all levels in Schools ,colleges and in societies should check the evil doers and help those in need ..We have lost everything, our houses, properties, books assets, shops and business during recent deluge, said Syed Ali Geelani. It was the moral responsibility of local administration but they maintained criminal negligence and instead assigned their top priority for assembly election. People in state are all apprehensive and aghast against the insensitive approach   exhibited by administration, said Syed Ali Geelani and added that thousands of families are facing immense problems and living in desperate and miserable condition. Fifty seven Muslim countries and rest of the .world were ready to help but India did not permitted and instead were asked to deposit their relief and aid in Prim Ministers account ,India with deliberately  created hurdles but despite all this our nation and especially  youth exhibited their commitment and sense of humanity and came to the rescue of their brethren, said Syed Ali Geelani , We are all praise for their superior services .They created free public kitchens ,provided eatables, clothes, medicines and provided shelter  to flood affected people. I salute them for their dedication and bravery, said Syed Ali Geelani .

The devastation caused during recent flood has affected every family and it needs funding and aid on large scale .While referring to local Awqaf and Baitul Mail committees ,Syed Ali Geelani said that it is very sad that   either these institutions are defunct or managed by PDP or National Conference and  assets  including orchards and properties are in their control but they are not utilized for betterment and upliftment of deserved category and general public. We are witness to the fact that as soon these parties come to power they took the charge of these institution and misuse the funds and their income for their political ends .People too are insensitive and they never ask these people for bungling’s and misappropriation of funds .These parties  are responsible for waywardness and they issue license for wine shops, said Syed Ali Geelani Syed Ali Geelani stressed people that they should be care full and take all these people to task and make them accountable . The function was organized by Central Relief Committee. Central Relief Committee chairman Peer Saifulla, Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Mohammad Yousuf Mujahid and Ab. Hameed Magray were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
