Hansraj Gangaram Ahir has taken charge as the Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers in New Delhi today. The Minister speaking to newsmen after taking charge alongwith his senior cabinet colleague Shri Ananth Kumar said that that it is the priority of the preset Government to make fertilizer and medicines available to the poor at a cheaper price. Shri Ahir said that he would work hard under the guidance of his senior colleague to achieve the goals set by the Prime Minister in this regard.
Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir has been elected as a M.P. from the Chandrapur Constituency in Maharrashttra in the recent Lok Sabha Elections. The BJP leader had earlier been elected to the Parliament for three times and this is his fourth term. Anantha Kumar speaking on the occasion said that Shri Ahir had relentlessly pursued the case to expose irregularities in allocation of coal mines by the previous Government. He said they he had seen resoluteness of Shri Ahir in this regard while both of them had been on the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Coal and Steel for about three years together. Shri Anantha Kumar also complemented Shri Ahir as he was taking charge as a Minister on his birthday today.
