Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday termed statement of Pro-Indian politicians as ridiculous and deceitful and said that during current election campaign they portray themselves as well-wishers and issue statement about Kashmir.In a statement he said, “They are not sincere and are shedding crocodile tears.How they dare to talk about Kashmir issue as nobody else except those pleading now for resolution of Kashmiri are responsible for bringing Kashmir under Indian domain. They should come with answer that who was responsible for temporary accession with India and as who were the actors that smashed origin and demography of state.”
“They are accountable to the nation and should answer as who were the persons that even transformed the nomenclature of Sadr e riyasat to Governor and Prime Minister to Chief Minister, said Syed Ali Geelani. It is highly deplorable that for their mean interests they even imported officials from nursing orderlies to that of IPS officers from Delhi. They need to come clear as who were the culprits that leased the state land on 90 years lease through Land Grants Bill and let them unveil the facts about those who on 27th October 1947 while receiving Indian forces greeted them as blissful birds (Tyran Ababeel),” he said.
“Since 1990 they with their power of arrogance and dint of might prosecuted, suppressed and subjugated innocent people and now through their rhetoric about Kashmir issue are hell-bent to prove themselves as champions just simply to befool people,” Geelani said.
While blaming these pro –Indian politicians for their ‘deceptive politics’, he said that they are responsible for putting the Kashmir issue on back burner and “they with their shrived politics ever since tried to support the domain of India over Kashmir.” The Hurriyat (G) chairman said that on every juncture of election they beat the drum about Kashmir issue and soon after this “drama is over they forget about this and shower bullets over pro-freedom leadership and those supporting ongoing freedom movement. They forget about what they undertook during elections and start arresting those favoring freedom movement and charge them with sedition, life sentences are awarded and even take them to gallows.
The atrocities and brutalities they perpetrate against innocent people is now a stigma of our history.”Referring to recent election campaign and the treatment meted to pro freedom leaders and activists, Geelani said, “From every nook and corner of the state they have arrested thousands of pro freedom leaders and workers and reaffirming his faith in present movement. How it is possible to overlook about our heroes like Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo. They even arrested party leaders and activists who were engaged with relief and rehabilitation work for flood hit people including Ab Gani Bhat District President Sopore ,Amir Hamza Secretary Dawat Wa Tableeg, Ayaz Akbar ,Spokesman, Hafiz Ullah Mir District President Islam Abad ,Ab Majid Rather Secretary Budgam, Mohamad Maqbool President Tehsil Chadoora, Nasir Abdullah Gania Ex President Tehsil Pattan, Manzoor Ahmad Kaloo Sopore, Nazir Ahmad Shah Sopore, Abdul Manaan Panzala, Farooq Ahmad Wani ,Mohamad Subhan wani, Haroon Rashid Wani, Bilal Ahmad Yatoo, President Tehsil Rohama ,Mohamad Ramzan President Tehsil Kreeri, Ab Majid Lone Bumai, Nazir Ahmad Ganai Danger Pora, Ghulam Mohidin Dar Tehsil president Nanhaba, Salman Yousuf Bandipora, Master Ali Mohamad Dar ,Gh Hassan Dar Shah Gund, Meraj u Din Rabbani Zainkote, Fayaz Ahmad Kangan, Wasim Ahmad Tarzoo, Mohamad Maqbool Pattan, Ab salaam Mir Wusan, Hafiz Ab Ahad Palhallan, Nisar Ahmad Khanda, Saif u Din Mir Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Bhat Doro ,Ashfaq Ahmad Reshi Doro, Mohamad Shafi Pandit Duron, Showkat Ahmad Doro ,and Bashir Ahmad Dar and Mohammad Syed secretary Legal cell.”Ali Geelani expressed his anguish over unabated arrests and asked those at the helm of affairs to respond if they are sincere about resolution of Kashmir that how many resolutions were passed in United Nations. While reiterating his appeal for election boycott asked people that these people are misleading through their rhetoric about Kashmir issue and urged to keep away and do not fall prey to their deceitful politics, Geelani added.
