Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) leader and candidate for Khaniyar constituency Mohammad Khurshid Alam Thursday alleged that thousands of back dated appointments were being made in various state departments by the NC ministers in a bid to lure voters.

In a statement to KNS, Alam said that alone in the department of education around 3000 orders for the conversion of Education Volunteers (EVs) into the RTs are in the offing and that the file has been sent from the director education to chief education officer of Srinagar district.Alam maintained that the ruling National Conference even after the MCC continues to take the norms and rules set by the election commission for a ride and that  the rights of the people of the state are continuously being uprooted sans any accountability on ground. “In order to lure voters and to save its sinking ship, NC is trying to hood wink people by the illegal appointments,” Alam said in a statement.

He also urged the ECI to take earliest action into the matter and probe the back dated appointments being made at the behest of NC ministers. Alam said that national conference is throwing rules to wind with the back dated appointments in the midst of the Model Code of Conduct turns out to be a worrisome entity for the institutions of Jammu and Kashmir. He also accused that some officers in state bureaucracy are being compelled to pass the illegal orders with some in the unholy nexus for carrying out the open violation of the rights of the deserving people.

He maintained that NC in Srinagar particularly is striving to revive the fortunes of its workers by adjusting them in various government offices which otherwise is the right of the deserving candidates. He added that as the regime of loot, exploitation and injustice is about to meet the turbulent end, the government in its last bid is hell bent upon making the state unstable and uncertain with the rights of masses being rubbed to ground and principles of justice being violated every day.Alam maintained that the people have already unmasked the true colors of the chaotic government and the coming time would be the period of justice and fair play. He also urged people not to fell into the trap of illegal appointments being made by the nc ministers as same would turn out to be a mere mirage in the end.
