A Delegation of various SC employees unions today called on Welfare Minister  Gulzar Singh Ranike to discuss the issue of Reservation Roster in various departments and sought Minister’s personal intervention to resolve the issues pertaining to SC employees amicably. The delegation led by CPS Mr. Pawan Kumar Tinu & Sant Balbir Singh Ghunaas, Ex-Minister Mr. Sarwan Singh Phillaur, Justice Nirmal Singh and Manjit Singh Manna, both MLAs apprised the Minister that a letter issued by Personnel Department on October 10, 2014 may affect the interests of SC employees. They expressed apprehensions that the letter contains not to consider roster point as seniority point, which was not justified. After hearing the demands of delegation, Mr. Ranike assured that rights and interests of SC Employees would be secured at all costs. He said that a clarification in this regard has already been sought from Personnel Department and a high level meeting of department would also be convened shortly.
