5 ‘gamblers’ held in Kulgam

Police on Monday said it arrested five alleged gamblers in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and recovered stake money of Rs 27300 from the gambling site.In a statement a police spokesman said party led by SHO Kulgam raided a gambling site at Bogund Kulgam and arrested five gamblers. Police recovered a stake money of Rs 27300 from the gambling site along with few sets of playing cards.Police has registered a case FIR 216/2014 under section 13 Gambling act against the arrested gamblers. The gamblers were identified as Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Maqsood Ahmed Dar residents of Bogund Kulgam, Shakoor Ahmed Malik resident of Yaripora, Bilal Ahmed Dar resident of Khudwani, Bashir Ahmed Wani resident of Khanabal, Anantnag.
