National Conference (NC) general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar Friday hailed the efforts of the chief minister Omar Abdullah and the state government for regularizing the services of six thousand NYCs.Sagar in a statement to KNS remarked that the landmark measures taken by the state government are laudable and that absorption of six thousand NYCs is one major step in their regard. The financial implications for such decision are reported to be 49 crores.Sagar also appreciated Omar’s role in being instrumental in the upgradation of 468 primary schools to middle schools and 332 high schools to higher secondary institutions.Sagar said that such steps of the state government are enough to vindicate the pro- youth agenda of chief minister Omar Abdullah.
