Asking the officers to pace up work on various infrastructural assets being created for upgradation of the existing ones, the Minister of State for Technical Education, Vikar Rasool has said that the same is necessary for adequate upgradation of the technical education sector in the state so that youth are imparted quality technical skills.The Minister was addressing officers of State Board of Technical Education during the 17th Board meeting held here today. It was attended by Secretary, Technical Education, Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Director Technical Education, Secretary Board of Technical Education and other senior officers of various departments.

Vikar said that the government has undertaken a comprehensive programme of upgrading the infrastructural capacities of this vital sector so that the aspiring youth can be provided quality and latest technical education so that they can set up their own income generating units and contribute their bit in ensuring that the employment opportunities are created and the problem of un-employment is also addressed.

Referring to the various initiatives undertaken by the government, the Minister said that thousands of youth have been sent to different states wherein they are being imparted technical knowhow of various existing and new trades. He said that by doing so they would be getting the requisite exposure of interacting and working with various multinational companies, which would then ensure their absorption in various fields of the corporate sector.The meeting also confirmed the minutes of the 16th Board meeting, besides deliberating on various other issues raised in the meeting.Secretary Technical Education, Khurshid Ahmed Shah and Director Technical Education also spoke on the occasion and highlighted various issues related to the overall functioning of the department.
