The India and Pakistan armies on Friday exchanged fresh gunfire along Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.Official sources said the firing started at around 11:45 am in Balakote sector of the district. “Pakistan targeted Indian army with small arms,” they said. The sources said the Indian army also retaliated and the fire continued for about 15 minutes.“The firing stopped at 12:00 pm,” they said, adding there was no loss of life or property.Meanwhile, the Pakistan officials accused India of violating ceasefire in Poonch, media reports said. The recent border skirmishes have claimed 19 lives on both sides with the both countries accusing each other of firing first. Thousands of people were displaced due to fighting between two nuclear powers. (GNS)
