Chief Minister of Kerala, Oommen Chandy alongwith three Ministers K.M. Mani, Minster for Finance, Law and Housing, K.Babu, Minister for Fisheries, Ports and Excise and P.J. Joseph, Minister for Water Resources met Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh today. He raised certain issues pending with Ministry of Agriculture which included extension of Kuttunad package, increase in subsidy amount for Fisheries Harbor Infrastructure Scheme, establishment of Plant Quarantine Station at Kollam Port and financial support of Rs. 100 crore for Fisheries University. Radha Mohan Singh assured him that all possible efforts will be made to get Kuttunad package extended by taking up the matter with Ministry of Finance. Remaining issues which related to Ministry of Agriculture will be shortly sorted out. Radha Mohan Singh accepted the invitation by Kerala Chief Minister to participate in Global Agro Meet to be held in Kochi on 06th November, 2014.
