Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today launched a whirlwind election campaign in Haryana to give a boost to the INLD - SAD "60 plus" (assembly seats) poll target. On the first leg of the campaign today, Mr. Badal used a customised van to criss cross across more than a dozen villages including Panhari, Farmahi Kalan, Nejadela Kala, Vaidwala, Sikanderpur, Moriwala, Narelkera, Bhavdeen, Sangar Sada, Baruwali and Bharokha of Sirsa district.Addressing massive gatherings at these places, Mr. Badal recalled the initiative taken by INLD and especially the Chaudhary Devi Lal government for the development of Haryana and welfare of common masses. He appealed to the voters to draw a comparison between pro people INLD governments and the Hooda led Congress government.

The SAD president said Mr. Devi lal and Mr. Chautala led governments worked for overall development and welfare of the State, whereas, the Congress government of Haryana was busy in political vendetta and development of Rohtak constituency alone during the last 10 years. “Congress government of Haryana framed false charges against Mr. Om Parkash Chautala and that too for providing employment to youth. Is it wrong to provide government jobs to unemployed youth of the state?” he asked.Recalling the political vendetta adopted by the erstwhile Congress government against his family, Mr. Badal said as all the cases against the Badal family had been dismissed and people of Punjab had bestowed faith in Sardar Parkash Singh Badal twice in a row, similarly the people of Haryana would also vote for their beloved leader Mr. Om Parkash Chautala to put a full stop to the conspiracies planned against him by the Congress party.Describing the Haryana assembly polls as end of Congress era in Haryana politics.

Badal said the response and support being received by the SAD-INLD alliance in Haryana had made it clear that the alliance was all set to form the next government in the State. He said he was confident the INLD - SAD alliance would get more than 60 seats in the Haryana assembly poll.Later, Mr. Badal also headed a meeting of zone incharges at Sirsa to discuss the campaign strategy.Sukhbir Singh Badal will address more than 24 rallies at Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Ambala city, Kaithal, Panipat, Sonipat, Faridabad, Rohtak and Fatehabad till October 13 to ensure record victory of alliance candidates.
