Ghulam Nabi Azad Condoles Untimely Demise of Yasir Arafat

Urges State Government to Accord Priority to Road Safety

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha & Former Chief Minister of J&K, Ghulam Nabi Azad has deeply condoled the sad, untimely and tragic demise of Yasir Arafat Zargar, ACD Kishtwar. Yasir Arafat, a young, dynamic and energetic officer of the State, died in a fatal road accident near Bhandarkote, Kishtwar when he was on way from Kishtwar to Srinagar via Sinthan road.“My heart goes out to the bereaved family and I pray to Almighty to give them strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss”, said Sh Azad.Describing his untimely demise as shocking and unfortunate, Azad said that State Government has lost a young, bright and talented officer and his family has lost their source of strength and hope.Urging the State Government to look into his repeated requests of according priority to the subject of road safety, Azad said that this regular loss of precious lives is a constant source of agony and dismay for the people of the State.
