Deepender Singh Hooda, MP from Rohtak has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misleading the people of Haryana on the per capita income. He said the facts presented by Modi about Haryana at the Karnal rally was wrong. If Haryana is at number eight on the per capita income level, Modi should spell out names of the states which are ranked number one to seven and are more developed than Haryana.Addressing an election campaign public rally today at Sivani mandi, Deepender Hooda said he too is a MP and sits in the same parliament where Modi sits. While presenting the Economic Survey report in Parliament, Finance Minister Arun jaitley had listed Haryana number one  in the country in the per capita income. Therefore Narendra Modi should clarify whether he is telling the lie or his Finance Minister. During his whirlwind tour of Bhiwani, Deepender Hooda today toured public rallies in support of Congress party candidates at Loharu, Jhojhu kalan, Ranila, Dhanana and Bamla villages.

The star campaigner of the Congress, Deepender Hooda took the BJP to task on the price rise in the country, MSP and old age pension. He said for the last ten years the farmers were getting good prics for their crops, but ever since the BJP government came to power at the centre, the prices of cotton, bajra and dhan have fallen drastically. He said Haryana was charging the lowest electricity rate from the farmers at 10 paisa per unit, whereas in the BJP ruled state of Gujarat the electricity rate charged from the farmers was Rs 2.70 per unit.

He said the government waived off the interest rate charge from the farmers for taking crops loans from cooperative banks. The Haryana government was ahead in the country in payng pension. Taking a dig at the BJP for announcing Rs 2000 pension to the aged in the party manifesto, Deepender Hooda said Haryana is paying Rs 1000 pension per month which will be increased to Rs 1500 from November 1. Eight states in the country today are being ruled by the BJP. Even if one of them announces to pay Rs 750 per month pension they will accept defeat.

Attacking the INLD government, Deepender Hooda said during their reign the criminals were given protection. Ransom was demanded from the businessmen. Haryanvis have not forgotten these. Refresing the people’s memory, Hooda said during INLd regime the agitating farmers demanding waiving off of their pending electricity bills were fired upon. A number of farmers were killed as a result. But in quite a contrast, when the Congress government came to power in 2005, it waived off Rs 1600 crore worth pending power bills of the farmers.

Deepender Hooda said the people have to take a big decision during the assembly election in the state because the poll will decide the fate of the people. People have to make a choice whether they want a government that loot the people or a government which has good intentions and formulates developmental policies for the people and the state. He said the Congress government in Haryana has worked for the welfare of all section of people. The people should therefore vote overwhelmingly in favour of the Congress candidates and make the Congress win the election for the third time in the state.
