With the blessings of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, thousands of Nirankari devotees belonging to all the branches of the Sant Nirankari Mission numbering about 3000 in the country participated in the Clean India Drive today. Besides local SatsangBhawans and their surroundings, they carried out the drive at various public places also.His Holiness always emphasizes that pollution must be removed from within as well as outside. While the mind should be kept clean with God-knowledge, we should ensure a clean environment outside also. It was in this spirit that devotees came forward to participate in today's Clean India Drive and earned the pine blessings of His Holiness.The decision followed a letter received by His Holiness from Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs illustrating the noble objective of the campaign as envisaged by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri NarendraModi.
In Delhi, devotees carried out the campaign at Red Fort, ISBT, Railway Station and Metro Station, AnandVihar, Baba SahebAmbedkar Hospital, Rohini, Metro Station GBT Nagar and IBHS Hospital, Dilshad Garden.Speaking to Media-Persons at Red Fort, Holy Sister Rev Bindiya Chhabra Ji, Member Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation said that besides promoting its spiritual message, the Mission continues to participate in social welfare activities throughout the year. On February 23 every year, we celebrate the Birthday of His Holiness as Guru Puja Diwas which is marked by a cleanliness drive and tree plantation by all the branches of the Mission in India and abroad.Rev CL Gulati, Secretary Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation said that while about 3000 devotees were participating in the cleanliness drive at Red Fort thousands of them were carrying out similar service at other public places.
