Ram Villas Paswan, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution today morning undertook supervise checks to see cleanliness in his Ministry. He visited various sections, library, canteen and toilets. The Minister expressed unhappiness over a status of cleanliness in some of the rooms, loose wires in corridors and upkeep of books in library. He himself picked up waste papers lying here and there and threw them in dustbin. He ordered renovation or library and speeding up of weeding of old records. During the checks, Shri Ram Villas Paswan interacted with the groups of officials about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. He said that “Swachh Bharat Mission” initiated by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi is an opportunity for all of us to contribute in the mission of cleanliness. He asked the officials to ensure voluntary service atleast two hours every week to keep his or her surroundings clean. After the inspecting the kitchen of the canteen he also took lunch with officials.
