Punjab Government today launched a drive to ensure the implementations of labour Laws at brick kilns situated in the state. Disclosing this here today Labourer Welfare Minister Surjit Kumar Jiyani said that District leval Committee had been constituted, which will ensure the proper implementation of labour laws.The Minister said that these District leval Committees would conduct surprise raids to find out any irregularity. He said that theses committees would also organize workshops to impart education to the labours about labour laws.Mr. Jiyani further said that the Inspection had already been done for total 2307 brick kilns in Punjab. In which total 1050 brick kilns owners had been found guilty of flouting the norms and 3342 had been chalaned for irregularity..The Minister said that Punjab Government is committed for welfare of labourers and Punjab Labourer Welfare Board started various Welfare Schems and launched more Schems very soon.
