The Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari and Salma Ansari today met the differently abled children from ‘UMEED’, a Vocational Training Centre run under the aegis of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) here today. The Vice President and Smt. Ansari interacted with the children and wished them good success in their future. The Centre was established on 1st September, 2005 by AFWWA to empower the differently abled children with vocational training so as to make them contributing citizens of the society rather than being looked upon as a burden.
