Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced to hike the amount of ex gratia grant released to the next of kin of the deceased in the recent incident of building collapse at Jalandhar from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Mr Badal highly appreciated the role of Army, National Disaster Response Force besides the civil and Police of district administration Jalandhar in carrying out the relief operations.
Meanwhile Mr Badal also lauded the services rendered by several NGOs, social, religious and voluntary organisation in providing relief to the injured and the family members of the deceased in this hour of crisis.
