Bharatiya Janata Party woman leader in Kashmir Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat has questioned the political parties in the state saying if her party would target Kashmir Pandit for votes why should other parties feel threatened. These political parties saying BJP is contesting in Kashmir on Kashmiri Pandits vote bank they are discriminating Pandits of Kashmir, I think they are not treating Kashmiri pandits as Kashmiri.The BJP was no longer an “outside” party in Kashmir. “What is wrong if BJP comes to power in the State? Unlike other parties we don’t have any baggage in Kashmir,”“Not only Pandits, our focus are also the youth who have been the victims of the ongoing situation in Kashmir,” Hina, the daughter of former MP Mohammad Shafi Bhat who joined BJP and is in charge of Amira Kadal constituency said, “I don’t want Kashmir Pandits to live in camps in abject conditions. I want them to live in their homes as they live before 1990s.”She lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching various rehabilitation schemes for the Kashmir Pandits.
