Police on Sunday late evening recovered four hundred bottles of codeine phosphate in south Kashmir’s Shopian district and have arrested two persons.A police official told GNS that during a Naka at Heff in the jurisdiction of Zainapora police station, a sumo (JK02Q 8733) was stopped by police. “While searching the vehicle, we recovered 400 codeine phosphate bottles and arrested two people including its driver,” he said.The official identified the arrested persons as Bashir Ahmad Ganai, son of Abdul Ahad Ganai and Shahzad Ahmad Ganai, son of Ali Muhammad Gani. Then both arrested persons are from Tahab village of neighbouring Pulwama district.The official said a case under FIR number 72/2014 under 8/21 NDPS act has been registered.
