Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Friday said the government has been working for comprehensive development of the state through various welfare schemes and programmes.The 68th Independence Day was celebrated across the state with traditional fervour. The chief minister hoisted the national flag at the Vidhan Sabha here on the occasion.Security has been beefed up across the state, especially in western Uttar Pradesh which has experienced communal violence recently.
