“ Blood should flow in the human veins and not in drains”, said Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji in his special message for the 16th annual blood donation camp of the local branch of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation held here today. 164 women were among 579 blood donors at this camp.In his inaugural address, Mr Uma Shankar Gupta P.C.S, Municipal Commissioner,Mohali said, “ The high level of self-motivation among the donors deserves special appreciation because this spirit fulfills the very purpose of voluntary blood donation movement. Nirankari devotees are always ready with full exuberance to come out and donate blood so that needful people can be benefitted by their donation resulting in happiness all around; and spreading the feelings of humanity and sharing grief and sorrows.
The Zonal Incharge of Sant Nirankari Mandal and Local Sanjojak Dr. B.S. Cheema while addressing the donors and devotees said that today modern science has developed artificial limbs for human body, but blood has no substitute, it is still a god’s invaluable gift to mankind and thus its donation is all the more special. It is also worth noticing here that Nirankari saints while donating blood praying to Almighty for the health of one getting their blood.A high-level 20-members PGI Blood Bank team led by Dr. Asish jain conducted the collection operations. Another team from Civil Hospital Blood Bank Mohali, headed by Dr. Goldy Chhabra, also participated in operations.A Blood wareness rally was also organized yesterday from Mohali Phase – VI to Phase- XI by Nirankari devotees .
