Hours after getting expelled from the basic membership of People’s Democratic Party, Senior vice president District Srinagar, Rouf Bhat said that PDP is turning out to be the party of few capitalists who are ruling the roost and hell bent to destroy the very basic foundation of the party. Bhat told CNS that the leaders of PDP are following the footsteps of Sheikh dynasty and these leaders want to rule Kashmir like Sheikh’s did in Kashmir. “There is no place for the common man in the party as it is the party of few wealthy and affluent people in front of whom, a common leader has no worth,” he said.
Accusing that PDP is the party of ‘Pir dynasty’ who abhor to shake hands with leaders from other caste. “These Pir’s exploited scores of political workers and used them for their benefits. They have a hidden agenda to create another dynastic kingdom on the pattern of Sheih family,” he said and added that he had already decided to resign from the basic membership of the party along with 9500 supporters. Bhat said that he had already made up his mind to leave the party as he found PDP the party of a particular wealthy class. “Before I could have tendered my resignation, the party issued a statement to press about my expulsion,” he said.
