Expressing serious concern over the way Kounsar Nag tourist destination has been raked by some political elements eyeing on upcoming assembly elections, CPI (M) state secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has said such elements want to promote their petty politics by endangering peace and prosperity of the State.In a statement issued to KNS, Tarigami said the Kounsar Nag is a pristine source of water and tourist place hitherto neglected by the government. “Unfortunately some political elements eyeing on upcoming elections in the state and without bothering for the consequences raked this issue to fulfill their nefarious designs,” Tarigami observed.
He said that some political elements want to create wedge among ranks of people over such issues and the government must ensure that such a place should remain as a tourist destination rather than being mired in a politico-religious controversy.The CPI (M) leader hoped that people as usual will maintain communal harmony and will never get carried out by the propaganda engineered by the vested interests. He also urged the government to clear the confusion being created over the issue. (KNS)
