Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved Screening Committee for Jammu and Kashmir for the forthcoming Assembly Elections comprising of Ajay Maken (Chairman), Shubhankar Sarkar, Ambika Soni-General Secretary Incharge, Prof. Saifuddin Soz-President JKPCC and Mohammad Sharief Niaz-Leader CLP its members.PCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (MLC) said that the list of candidates for the Assembly Constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir shall be approved by the AICC President after Screening by AICC Screening Committee constituted today on the recommendations of the Pradesh Congress Election Committee, which was already constituted earlier by the AICC President.He (Sharma) said that no list has yet been approved and issued by the Congress party so far. He said that certain lists are being circulated by certain vested interests in the media and social network only to create confusion. (KNS)
