Eid Preparation In Kashmir, People Busy in Shoppings

Kashmir valley witnessed busy day on Sunday as people were busy in marketing and shopping throughout the day. Scores of people including women and children went outside from their homes for shopping as EID ul FITR is likely to celebrate on Tuesday. We are expecting good price on this Eid as merchants used to raise their price on this eve, a local said. People spend mostly on buying daily essential commodities which does not add much to the overall sale volume here, he added said. He also cited that weather conditions and persion of transport to Lalchowk on Eid as the main reason which prevents people from going to shopping.
