In its crusade against corruption, the Vigilance Bureau (VB), Punjab today caught a big fish in its net by nabbing a Naib Tehsildar red-handed, while accepting Rs.1,00,000 as bribe. Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of the VB said that Mr. Harpreet Singh resident of Village-Kishanpur (Moga) has complained that Bachittar Singh Dhadda, Naib Tehsildar of Dharamkot (Moga) was demanding Rs.4,00,000 as illegal gratification for releasing registry paper of his newly purchased land. The complainant alleged that he purchased 2 acres of land, the registry of which was made on July 23, 2014, but the papers were not released to him. He accused that Naib Tehsildar Bachittar Singh Dhadda was demanding Rs.4,00,000 and first installment of Rs.1.00,000 was to be handed over to accused today.
