The Congress Monday downplayed the resignation of Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, saying it should not be seen as a rebellion against party vice president Rahul Gandhi, and that everything will be sorted out "amicably".Congress leader Manish Tewari said the developments in Assam did not offer any challenge for the party."There is nothing really to be worried about," Tewari told the media."Eventually, you will find that everything gets sorted out amicably," he said.Congress MP Kamal Nath said the resignation should not be seen as an attempt to defy Rahul Gandhi."It is not a rebellion against Rahul. The issue is that some people are not happy with the chief minister (Tarun Gogoi). But majority are with the chief minister," Kamal Nath told media persons outside parliament.Himanta Biswa Sarma Monday resigned from the state cabinet, saying it was not possible "mentally, physically and politically" to work under Gogoi.Sarma, who was holding the health and education portfolios, submitted his resignation to Governor Janaki Ballabh Patnaik.
