The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday expressed his condolences with the families of the victims killed in Kishtwar and Srinagar.Omar, at the same time, said the accident in Srinagar has been ‘exploited’ by pro-freedom leaders.Taking to micro-blogging website, Twitter, Omar wrote: “The deaths in the two road accidents in Kishtwar & Srinagar are extremely tragic. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.”He slammed pro-freedom leaders for calling shutdown against the accident on Thursday and accused them of ‘exploiting pain’. “Only in Kashmir can a tragic accident be exploited by ordering a 2 day shutdown & protests after Friday prayers. Height of exploiting pain.”The Chief Minister said it was ‘not a deliberate act’ by the army but was an accident. “The accident happened with an army truck but it was an accident, not a deliberate action,” he wrote, adding: “I hope better sense & cooler heads prevail.” (GNS)
