PUT CLU, TP AND MAP Pending Cases On Fast Track; Chunni Lal Bhagat Directs Officers

Adopting a strict stance on the lackluster approach of the officers for cases of Change of Land Use (CLU), Town Planning (TP), and Map passing in urban areas Mr. Chunni Lal Bhagat, Minister for Local Bodies, Punjab, today issued strict instruction to the officers to put all these pending cases on fast track and clearance within two days. Mr. Bhagat also directed the officers to send compliance report with remarks that no case is pending in this regard. He was presiding over a high level review meeting of the department in which these instructions were issued.

The Minister said that concerned officer would be held responsible for any delay in the clearance of all these cases. "Strict instruction would be taken against the erring officers", said Mr. Bhagat. He said that the SAD-BJP government is committed for the over all development of the cities by providing world class infrastructure and better road connectivity in the urban areas to decongest the traffic.Mr. Bhagat also directed the officers to prepare the case for all those officers and other employees, the promotion of which is due. He said that the promotions of the employees would be done on priority bases. Prominent among other who were present in the meeting included Mr. Ashok Gupta, Secretary Local Bodies, Mr. Priyank Bharti, Director, Mr. M.S. Aujala, Director Town Planning and Mr. B.S.Brar, State Town Planning.
