Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today urged Union Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan to immediately depute a site selection team to finalize the site of the AIIMS in the state. In a letter to Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Chief Minister informed him that the State government had identified four sites in the district Kapurthala, adding he said that the land and the requisite infrastructure would be made available as per Ministry requirement.  Mr. Badal further said that he was extremely grateful to Dr. Harsh Vardhan for supporting state’s case of having AIIMS during a recent meeting with him in mid of June.
