Language Department To Print Special Literature For Sri Anandpur Sahib Foundation Celebrations: Rakhra

In order to highlight and publicize the rich historical, religious and cultural legacy of Sri Anandpur Sahib, the Punjab Language Department would publish special literature. It was disclosed by Surjit Singh Rakhra, Higher Education and Languages Minister, Punjab.In a press statement, Mr. Rakhra said that celebrations are on to commemorate the 350th foundation day of Sri Anandpur Sahib. He said that to mark this historical occasion and to educate the younger generation about the rich cultural, historical and religious heritage of this city, information in the form of booklets, pamphlets would be made available by the Language Department. 

He said that the write ups, articles and other informative chapters depicting the importance of this city in Sikh history would be written by scholars. He said that the department was also printing the literature based on the Gurudwaras located at Sri Anandpur Sahib and Sri Kiratpur Sahib.The Language Minister said that Jathedar Akal Takht Sri Gurbachan Singh and Jathedar Giani Mal Singh have already released the souvenir at Sri Anandpur Sahib, which incorporated ‘Amol Hola’, a distinguished religious creations of Sant Nihal Singh Nirmale and history of city Anandpur Sahib.
