Eduset Society To Aware Society Against Drugs Through Films

With a unique move, The Punjab Edu-set Society has joined the war against drugs by producing short film “Karmi”, showing the peril of drugs to aware the youth against drugs.A spokesman of the Punjab government today said that the film named Karmi was produced by Punjab Edu-Set Society would be telecast on DD Punjabi on four different times within next 2 months. Initially it would be telecast on July 1st (Tuesday) at 7.15 PM, followed by 2 PM on July 2 (Wednesday).  On August 5(Tuesday) it would be again shown at 7.15 PM as well as 2 PM on the every next day.

The spokesman further said that keeping in view the role of electronic media in modern day society the Department has decided to make it a regular feature by engaging professional and notorious actors to act in these films to use their star power for this noble cause in future.The Principal Secretary Mrs. Anjali Bhawra has also asked the all schools heads, District Education Officials to push the students and their parents to watch the movie. Besides that it was also decided that film “Karmi” would be shown to students in schools on special screens.
