Congress Member Parliament Ravneet Singh Bittu has rubbished centre Government announcement of Bonus of Rs. 50 against per quintal and demanded Rs. 150 as bonus for farmers. He called the announced bonus a mockery with the farmers. Bittu further added that the chief minister of Punjab Mr. Parkash Singh Badal that claims to be well-wisher of farmers has been mum over the issue, instead of raising the voice of farmers before the centre government.Bittu further added that in the past Mr. Badal had used to make claims that the UPA government did not support the state government. As NDA government is in power in which Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is member, so why Mr. Badal has been backing up the government instead of raising issues of farmers of Punjab.
Making comment on the statement of Mr. Badal Mr. Bittu said what if the NDA government has formed recently; the government has adequate funds. The SAD-BJP government has been in power since past 7 years and if the state government has adequate funds that the ministers including Deputy Chief Minister used to boast about, the SAD-BJP government should announce Rs. 150 bonus against per quintal for farmers of Punjab.Chiding the Modi government Mr. Bittu said the NDA has betrayed people of India. Immediately after forming the government the centre government has raise the prizes of several essentials commodities.
