Krishan Pal Gujjar Pleads for Development of Faridabad in NCR

The Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Krishan Pal Gurjar has requested the Minister for Urban Development, HUPA and Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu to consider granting 1000 crore rupees from the National Capital Region Planning Board Fund for improving civic facilities in Faridabad which is a part of NCR. He said drinking water facilities, sewerage and roads in Faridabad are in a bad situation. There have been huge water logs in the town when it rains. He also requested him to extend the Metro upto Palwal which falls in Faridabad Parliamentary Constituency. Shri Krishan Pal also pleaded with Shri Venkaiah Naidu to connect Gurgaon to Faridabad with metro network as people of these areas commute between these two places very frequently and there is no direct metro connectivity. He requested the Minister for cleaning the Yamuna River and also Agra and Gurgaon canals. He urged him to grant special funds to the NCR Planning Board for these pollution control measures.
